In Memoriam — Josh Roberts
Please join us in saying goodbye to one of our adopters who dearly loved his Springers!
Josh Roberts, age 23, Olympia, Washington died July 17, 2011, in a tragic traffic accident in Chiang Mai, Thailand.
Josh was born October 10, 1987, in Idar Oberstein, Germany, to Monika K. and Joseph (Wayne) Roberts. Josh graduated from North Thurston High School in 2006 and attended South Puget Sound Community College and Chiang Mai University for Mechanical Engineering in Thailand. Josh loved to travel. After High School, he moved to Germany and then to China to work, gathering experience for his engineering degree. In 2010, he was accepted at Chiang Mai University.
During all his travels he embraced new cultures and applied all the good things he learned to his life. While working, traveling, and studying, he always found time for his family and friends. He loved life and lived it to its fullest and touched many lives during his short time with us.
He is survived by his mother Monika K. Roberts, father Joseph W. Roberts, brother Jacob (Jake) Roberts, grandmother (Oma) Olga Petsch, aunts, uncles, cousins, and other family members, and many, many friends.
Josh loved life and lived it to the fullest each day. His passion was for family, friends, travel, and of course his Springers that grew with him from boy to man.
He had a very special bond with Spencer after Lady passed at fourteen. Lady was with Josh from a puppy and Josh was four. When it came to animals, especially Springers, Josh was God's caregiver to all. Godspeed, Josh!
In lieu of flowers, Josh's family encourages a donation be made in Josh's memory to English Springer Rescue America.
