James (Jim) Stephens
March 15, 1932 – September 4, 2016
Jim was 84 years old when he lost his battle with lung cancer. He was born in Atlanta, Georgia on March 15, 1932, served in the U.S. Army and graduated from Georgia Institute of Technology as a civil engineer in 1956. He has 5 children, 9 grandchildren, 11 great grandchildren and 2 great-great grandchildren. He is survived by his wife, Beverly. He had a love of nature, animals and was involved in the Bonsai Society.
He and his wife had adopted their first Springer rescue in 2004 and he was completely smitten and dearly loved his dogs. His current dog, Travis, stayed very close by his side once he became ill and will definitely have a hard time adjusting to life without his Dad. He passed away with family close and passed peacefully. He was a wonderful man who was greatly loved by all.
